Costs and payment
Overseas and premium-rate calls using the NRS can be made by using a prepaid phone card for use in Australia. Prepaid phone cards offer different rates for calls to overseas countries. You can buy phone cards worth different amounts at convenience stores, petrol stations, supermarkets and on the internet. The cards come with their own instructions, but usually a local number is dialled and a special PIN is entered before the overseas numbers is dialled.
